1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sugar.no website and mobile application (together, the “Service”), provided by INTENDUM LTD (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Not medical advice
Sugar.no is provided for informational and educational purposes only. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical questions or decisions.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect the Service, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these Terms.
5. The Service
The Service may include meal logging, personalized insights, content, and other wellness-related features. We may modify, add, or remove features at any time.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals
Some features require a paid subscription (“Subscription”). Available plans and pricing are shown in the app or at checkout.
6.1 App Store Subscriptions (Apple)
If you purchase a Subscription through the Apple App Store:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your Subscription in your device settings:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6.2 Subscriptions purchased via other payment methods
Where available, you may purchase a Subscription through other authorized payment methods (for example, via web checkout). Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). Billing terms (including renewal rules, if applicable) will be shown to you at the time of purchase.
6.3 Trials and promotional pricing (if offered)
If we offer a free trial or discounted introductory period, terms will be disclosed at signup. If you do not cancel before the trial or promotional period ends, you may be charged the then-applicable subscription price.
7. Cancellations
You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund charges already paid, except where required by law or expressly stated.
App Store purchases: cancel via Apple Subscriptions settings.
Other purchases: follow the cancellation instructions provided at checkout or contact us at support@sugar.no.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on where you purchased your Subscription and may also depend on your location and applicable law.
8.1 App Store refunds
If you purchased via the Apple App Store, Apple handles refunds. Refund requests must be made through Apple’s refund process.
8.2 Refunds for other purchases
If you purchased through another authorized method, contact support@sugar.no with your order details. We will review requests in accordance with applicable law and any terms shown at the time of purchase.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law
Upload content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or abusive
Use the Service to harass, harm, or exploit others
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
10. User content
If you submit content to the Service (e.g., meal photos, logs, notes) (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including personalization features. This license ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except where retention is required by law or necessary for security and dispute resolution.
You represent that you have the rights to submit User Content and that it does not violate these Terms.
11. Intellectual property
The Service and all related content (excluding User Content) are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
12. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, INTENDUM LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
In no event will the Company’s total liability for all claims in a 12-month period exceed the amount you paid to the Company for the Service during that period (or USD $100 if you paid nothing), unless a higher liability is required by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary for security or legal compliance. Subscription cancellations must be handled as described in Sections 6–8.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA/UK, you may also have mandatory rights under your local consumer protection laws, and nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the “Last Updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after the update means you accept the updated Terms.
